Tandil is 370 kilometers (230 miles) south of Buenos Aires and Mar Del Plata is 170 Kilometers (105 miles) Southeast.
It's a University town and it is known for its hiking, horseback riding, camping, surrounding hills and eucalyptus trees. So you land in Buenos Aires and there is a 3.5 hour car ride to Tandil. It's a good idea to stay and day or two in Buenos Aires, rest and sightsee and then travel to Tandil. Hotels in Tandil will help with transportation. We will be getting you info on "what to do" in Tandil and nearby cities - such as Mar del Plata - the Atlantic Coast
